Shen Shao Guang convinces her family to film a video about their ancestral cooking to help revive their restaurant business. They go, dressed in costume, to their ancestral home, Yunshui Manor, but need someone to play the role of their key ancestor, Vice Magistrate Lin Yan. As Shao Guang looks for a possible candidate, she follows a man who leads her to the past. Finding her modern family also transported, they must find ways to survive.
